What do you need to know about booking your newborn photos in Lake Oswego?

When To Have Your Newborn Session

I come to your house approximately 5-20 days after your newborn arrives. Because I’m a lifestyle photographer, we have more flexibility of timing and don’t need the baby to be super sleepy. So, once your little one is born, we’ll be in touch to plan a date for your session. I always leave 1-2 weekdays open in my schedule for newborn sessions at my client’s homes.

How Long Does The In Home Newborn Session Last

The session itself takes anywhere from 45-120 minutes, and this depends on how baby is doing. Because the sessions is lifestyle, the newborn rarely needs to leave your arms and can be held for the majority of the session..but sometimes we have lots of diaper changes and breaks for nursing or feeding, which can lengthen the session. Shooting Locations in Your Home

Before your session we’ll meet on a zoom call, and you can show me the rooms in your home where you’d like to have your photos done. I’ll check out the light, and mention what looks good to me for shooting locations. Typically I take newborn photos in the living room, primary bedroom, and nursery but this is totally flexible based on light and other compositional elements within your home.

How Do You Get Your Photos?

There’s no need to leave your home to receive your photos. I’ll deliver your proofing slide show to you via a link in your email 1-3 weeks after your newborn session is held. Then, after you select your collection, you’ll have a month to enjoy your full gallery and select your digital files and print products. Your print products will be delivered directly to your home either by the photographer or via mail. Curious what type of photos you’ll receive?
