Family Photo Locations in the Portland Oregon Metro Area, I

Two of my favorite locations for family photo sessions include the Eastbank Esplanade at the  Willamette River Front Walk on the east side of Portland, and George Rogers Park in beautiful Lake Oswego.

The Eastbank Esplanade, located on the East side of the Willamette River has great river access close to the OMSI science museum. There is a small pier with access down to the water, a very modern industrial red door, an industrial white door, and a path that we can all explore together. Down the path we can access different portions of the river and bridges. This is a great location for explorers! If you’re interested in crossing one of Portland’s iconic bridges for your photo session this can be a great place to start.

George Rogers Park, Lake Oswego

Located in Lake Oswego Oregon, George Rogers Park has multiple amazing areas for photos within a very short distance. There’s the old “Iron Furnace” which is a cool stone architectural backdrop. There’s also a small bridge over the Oswego creek area providing great details for photos. There’s also easy pedestrian access to the Willamette river water front, as well as a beach area of the Oswego creek.

If your family likes to look at the ducks, jump on rocks, and dip their toes in the waters of the river or creek, this is a perfect location for family fun in nature.
