In Home & Neighborhood Exploring Photos in Taiwan

The addition of a new family member is always SO special...but I am continually in awe of the huge hearts of these two parents. The way that they so warmly and without complaint have jumped through the adoption AND immigration hoops to bring their newest addition home to Taiwan is a model in decorum. Along with their family and friends I was eagerly awaiting their newest family members arrival in Taichung so that I could help them to mark this milestone with some new family photos.

We first met shortly after they adopted their oldest daughter and brought her home to Taiwan. And they celebrated that time with a photo session when they were a new family of three.  They wanted to celebrate becoming a family of four by doing some in-home lifestyle images as well as outdoor lifestyle family photos to show their host country, similar to last year.

With young infants this type of combination session works out really well, because they are able to be cuddly and relax in the comfort of their home, typically in their bedroom, parents bedroom, or living room. And, then we can go outside giving their older sibling a bit more room to run and explore while highlighting their immediate neighborhood. Plus, the weather in Taiwan in December is perfect for being outdoors (i.e.-not so hot and humid that we're all dripping in sweat in the photos!!).

Between this families first family session (click here to check that session out, and see how much their daughter has grown) and now they also moved to a new apartment and area of Taichung, so we were able to explore and find some new little interesting areas of town. I'm always surprised by the fun and colorful doors and alleyways in our urban location.

I’m no longer living in Taiwan, but I am available for travel to wherever your family is to capture sweet moments of you all together. And, if you’re located in the PNW, you can check out my family services page for details about Portland Family Photo Sessions.

Reach out via my contact page if you’d like to chat about planning your next family photo session.
