Exploring Taichung's Temples

I LOVE when a family wants to capture memories of their children twice each year, showcasing how their children have grown since their last family photo session and freezing in time their family as they are today. And, it is such an honor when a family hires you to photograph them more than once in a year!!

I was thrilled to meet up again with this family of four, who seriously has the cutest kids. Our session was filled with exploration, counting of doors and pillars, jumping off steps, looking through windows, and trying to have a great time while still respecting the location of our shoot. Since we were in a temple we did have to keep our voices down and I had to reign in a bit of my fun crazy antics that I typically incorporate into a family photo session to help and elicit natural and joy filled expressions from my subjects. But this family makes it SO easy.

The kids knew that we were going to have fun, and their only complaints were probably that one, I only know two good knock knock jokes, and two, that it was SO HOT outside already (It's only early May!)!!

Oh, I don't want to forget to mention the sweet kisses, secrets, and snuggles that filled our time as well. Plus, one awesome 'Let it go' rendition by a little lady towards the end of our session.

I love how this lifestyle photo session in Taichung captures a cultural landmark in town, and how for this families previous session we photographed the families urban neighborhood.

I no longer live in Taiwan, but am available for travel as well as sessions in the Pacific Northwest, specifically in Portland Oregon. You can see details about lifestyle family sessions in Portland, and contact me to discuss planning your session.
